The International Women’s Hope Centre is a Non-Governmental Organization.

 We Operate in the Upper East Region of Ghana and have our office in the Bolgatanga, the Regional capital.  We care for the wellbeing of women particularly those facing unplanned pregnancy and help develop teenage girls/women in becoming self-respecting adults in the society. We also educate teenage girls on the importance of abstaining from pre-marital sex as well as providing free ultrasound services.

Our Services

  • Free ultra sound scan
    We provide a private environment for pregnant teenage girls/women to access this services for free. The Ultrasound is used to check if there is a fetus and also tells how long one has been pregnant. It also indicates the sex of the baby.
  • Free pregnancy test
    International Women’s Hope Centre performs free pregnant test to young girls and women. This we believe is the first thing to do when you miss your period or have unprotected sex. Our medical team will assist you by performing pregnancy test at no cost.
  • Nursing referrals
    We encourage teenage girls/women to visit the hospitals and health Centers regularly for antenatal care. This will help reduce the risk of complications and defects during the pregnancy period.
  • Education on pregnancy and abortions
    We provide education on pregnancy and abortion. Some teenage girls/women might want to consider abortion as an option. We at International Women’s Hope Centre educate them on the dangers of practicing unsafe abortions and its consequences.
  • Abstinence Classes.
    Abstinence is one of the best ways to prevent unplanned pregnancies among teenage girls and young women. We encourage teenage girls in Senior High Schools, communities and churches through our outreach programs not to engage in pre-marital sex.
  • Pregnancy and fetal development classes throughout pregnancy
    We schedule classes for teenage girls and young women who find themselves pregnant on our to cater for themselves throughout the period of pregnancy.

  • Referrals from Health facilities, Schools and community leaders
    Health facilities, Schools and Community leaders refer needy teenage girls and women who are pregnant and have nowhere to go to our Centre for assistance
  • Registration
    Such teenage girls and women are registered and the data is taken by completing our Intake forms.
  • Counselling
    Once registration and paper work is done counselling begins and opportunity is given to the client to ask questions
  • Ultrasound
    The client is then scheduled for an ultrasound to ensure if there is a fetus and how long the client has been pregnant
  • Classes
    Scheduled classes are organized for the client throughout the pregnancy period till the client is up for delivery.
  • Resources
    The client is then provided with baby items such as welcome dress, baby napkins, baby bathing soaps, pads, diapers and much more.
