Health screening for 48 individuals in Nangodi, Nabdam District

The International Women’s Hope Centre (IWHC) conducted a health screening for 48 individuals in Nangodi, Nabdam District, Upper East Region, during the handover of medical equipment to the Nangodi Health Centre. The screening, which included blood pressure, malaria, and diabetes testing, empowered participants to understand their health status. Two individuals were identified with severe hypertension and high blood sugar and referred to the hospital for further care. The Centre also used the opportunity to educate the community on managing blood pressure and diabetes. Additionally, adolescents in attendance benefited from sessions on sexual abstinence and risk avoidance based on the RUC curriculum.
